I have spent most of my day tapping away at my keyboard writing the most God-awful prose I have ever written in my life. And I've written some bad prose. HOWEVER! In all it's awfulness, my NaNo is already at 6,488 words, and it's only the beginning of day three! I can churn out bad writing like nobody's business, man.
I do however, keep reminding myself that while it's okay to reread the last sentence I wrote before a break, just to catch my train of thought again, rereading the last two pages is a no-no, as rereading is like kryptonite, and I'd feel the need to go and edit it into something worth reading TODAY, and would end up falling behind on getting the initial story told.
As it stands, I know there to exist in my story, a paragraph that goes on for several sentences that basically just says "She sat by a window. The town was small." i r teh gud ritur. no rly. i r.
Anyway, I did have to leave the house for a little bit today, because you really can't write without some kind of snack food, so I spent money on that.
Personally, I think it was a small price to pay in exchange for the chance at becoming published (after MUCH MUCH MUCH A LOT A WHOLE LOT LIKE SERIOUSLY JUST REWRITE THE WHOLE THING revision).
