Today was my Mom's birthday. When I got home from work last night, I made her a cake (from scratch, yes, I'm that good) to take to work. I'm told it was delicious, and gone by 10 am. I'm glad everyone enjoyed it, even though I didn't get any. :\
Anyway, I then spent the day running all over town finding gift wrap and getting stuff for dinner and waiting for the flower shop to open (they said 1 pm, but no one showed up until almost 2). In the end it all worked out, as my mom liked her gifts, and dinner came out perfect, and...it was just a nice evening.
That said, birthday's are spendy. Ah well, a worthwhile expense, say I.
