I had a fairly unproductive day today. I meant to get to 15,000 words in my NaNo, but fell short by just under 800 words. Not too big a deal, considering I'm still way ahead of the recommended schedule, but I still failed to reach the goal I set for myself. I'll make it up tomorrow, I'm sure.
I did, however, manage to help a friend with her homework. She needed help getting her paper from 1,000 words to 1,500, and being that I've been ALL ABOUT word counts the past few days, I had no trouble finding filler things to say to help her out. (I hate when teachers put minimum word counts on things. To me it discourages making clear, concise points and encourages useless babble. Bleh.)
And just a few minutes ago I gave out a history lesson on Wall Drug, in Wall, SD. We went there back in May and found a brochure on it's history and why there are so many signs for it EVERYWHERE, and I remembered it. I don't generally like billboards, but for some reason Wall Drug has my loyalty, so I forgive it. (Plus the signs I've seen for it don't ruin otherwise glorious landscapes. A field of corn is only pretty if you've NEVER SEEN ONE BEFORE EVER. And I have. Seen many. Countless times.)
