Some time ago I heard casual mention of something called "A Very Potter Musical," but I didn't really think much of it, as there are a lot of Harry Potter spoofs out there, and most of them were kind of dull to me.
Recently, however, there's been an upswing of hype about it around me, and my interest was piqued. Finally, when someone linked me to Act 1, Part 1, I caved and decided to watch. I needed a bit of a break from my NaNo anyway.
Holy AWESOME, Batman. After I watched it, my only regret was that I hadn't watched it sooner.
Each character was played really well, they were a good blend of canon and comedy. I loved Ron's tiny little two word lines, and the way Draco (played by possibly the tiniest woman I've ever seen) sort of...oozed all over the stage, and Voldemort and Quirrell's bromance. The whole thing was hilarious, and now I wish I could see it performed live.
And that's how I spent my day. Heh.
Oh! It was Schwann's man day, so I bought some food things.
And! Thanks to the newfound chemistry, and an unexpected window opening up for me to set up the Road Trip, my NaNo has crossed the halfway point!

The musical is pretty awesome, isn't it? I love how Voldemort isn't all evil, either. And I found Snape very funny too.
